I have been busy with work and other things and haven't done as much sewing as I like to. Not that that means a whole lot when I would like to spend the majority of everyday sewing. I find it relaxing, productive, and fun. I especially like learning new techniques and trying new things. Well, I tried a new purse pattern and made my Mom a large purse for her birthday. It has a nice stiff bottom, gathers on the sides (she is covering that part with her arm), and lots of pockets!
She is getting ready to back to school as a first year high school teacher. So, she needs lots of skirts and dress pants. I made her a skirt for Christmas (I will post that picture later), but this one didn't make it in time. So, I gave it to her now.
