Big Sister Scarf

Katelyn is going to perform as a Sugar Plum Fairy in her dance studio's production of the Nutcracker. Part of her dance involves a "big sister" dancer lifting Katelyn up and twirling her as she points her toes. Katelyn tells me her big sister's name is "J," and she wanted to give her a gift.

I went to JoAnn's and found this anti-pill fleece remnant.

The fleece is currently on sale, so it was only $2.91 for 21" (enough for 2 scarves)

I cut the fleece 9 1/2" wide by the width of the fabric

Cut off the selvage edges

Serged all edges

Pulled out the marking pen

Drew snowflakes on the scarf

Purchased Sulky Holoshimmer thread

Used stitch number 6 for thicker look

Stitched over markings

Continue until all snowflakes are finished

Hem with decorative stitch

Ta-da!

Fast, cute, and easy!
