Where Are All The Girls?

In our area of the world, many families have been blessed with baby boys. However, I have to wonder, where are all the girls?

I made the items below for a neighbor's Baby Shower.

These items go along with a dinosaur-themed outfit I purchased (Yeah, I guess I am human!).

We are suffering from a lack of girls around here also. I guess it's ok since I'm better at making things for older girls anyway. I just did one of those infant seat canopy things in dinosaurs. Cute stuff!

Hey Jenna! I have been blog-stalking you for a while now:) You have an amazing talent! I think you need to teach Kirsten so she can teach me. To answer your question, all the baby girls being born are down here in Cedar City(with the exception of our boy due in June). We've had 6 babies born in just our ward in the last month and a half and at least that many more due in the next few months, ALL GIRLS!
BTW, we had fun with Katelyn at Disney on Ice. She is such a cute little girly-girl!

Jen, I am so glad you have been reading my blog. It is nice to know! I also appreciate knowing girls are being born somewhere. I told Kirsten I would teach her how to sew, but I haven't really done that yet. I am wondering if you guys want to do a sew-along, and we could do it over the internet. Do you have a sewing machine? What kinds of things are you interested in sewing? Send me your email address.

I would love something like that! Yes, I have a sewing machine. Right now I am making crib bedding. I've got the sheets, skirt and bumper done. Now I need to do the window valence and I wanted to try a rag quilt. This is really the first time I have ever tried anything like this and tried following a pattern. So far things have gone pretty good but I really don't know what I'm doing! I have seen some really cute totes, purses and diaper bags that people have made and think it would be fun to do some things like that. My e-mail is vernspencer@yahoo.com.
