Krista's Sew Along Tote Bag

I went with my friend, Krista, and one of her coworkers to look at Bernina sewing machines a few weeks ago here in Salt Lake. A week or so later, I convinced Krista to do some shopping around at Dave's Bernina in Provo (LOVE that store)! We found a barely used 350!!! I was ecstatic that we were able to get her a good deal & a great machine. The store even gave me a discount on some items I wanted to buy since she bought a machine. Well, my excitement quickly disappeared when my car was not where I had parked it. After some investigating, a shocked and frustrated phone call, a trip to the bank, and a large fine, Krista took me to retrieve my car from a tow yard manned by a not-so-nice employee. Yeah, not happy! On the bright side, I have never had a ticket. The only time I have even been pulled over was when I was visiting a patient in the middle of the night and one of my headlights went out. So, I guess it was my turn for something like this to happen.

Now Krista is actually able to sew more things than were possible on her Janome machine.
So, she finally finished her Tote Bag from our sew along.

Here are the pictures...and welcome to the Bernina club!

Lining and pockets.

Congratulations Krista!

Also, I would like to announce that I have finished a new small handbag pattern I have been working on and will post the supply list, pattern, and directions soon! So, get ready to sew along!!!
